Uninsured care

In addition to insured care, OLVG also offers medical specialist care that is not included in the basic package. You can receive this care from our doctors. We use the same quality and safety standards for this care. Check your policy conditions with your insurer to determine whether you are eligible for a possible reimbursement.

No medical necessity?

Care without a medical necessity (for example cosmetic surgery or sterilisation) is never reimbursed by the basic insurance. You will therefore pay for this care yourself. You can ask the hospital what the costs are or check the website. Do you have supplementary insurance? Consult your policy conditions, or contact your health insurer and ask about the conditions for reimbursement.

Plastic surgery department

If there is no medical reason for the operation, you will pay the costs yourself. Sometimes the costs, or part of the costs, will be reimbursed. To be on the safe side, contact your health insurer and ask about the conditions for reimbursement. A possible reimbursement depends on:

• the policy conditions of your health insurance
• whether an authorisation is required for the treatment
• the medical necessity of treatment
