Getting here and parking : to OLVG by public transport or car

Our locations are easily accessible by public transport and by bicycle. Limited parking is available at OLVG locations. We therefore advise you to leave for OLVG well in advance if you are coming by car.

West Location

With public transport

OLVG's West location is accessible by public transport as follows:

  • tram 13: Jan Tooropstraat stop
  • metro 50: Jan van Galenstraat stop
  • metro 51: Jan van Galenstraat stop
  • train: Sloterdijk station (change to metro 50)

By car

OLVG's West location can be reached by car from the A10 ring road, Geuzenveld S105 exit:

From the direction of Zaandam
From Zaandam, follow the A10 ring road towards The Hague until the S105 Geuzenveld exit. You then turn right at the first set of traffic lights and left at the next traffic lights. You can park your car on the hospital grounds.

From the direction of The Hague
From the direction of The Hague, follow the A10 ring road towards Zaandam until the S105 Geuzenveld exit. You then turn left at the traffic lights and left again at the next traffic lights. You can park your car on the hospital grounds.

From the direction of Utrecht
From the direction of Utrecht, follow the A10 ring road towards The Hague. After the RAI, you follow the road in the direction of Zaandam until the S105 Geuzenveld exit. You then turn left at the traffic lights and left again at the next traffic lights. You can park your car on the hospital grounds.

From the direction of Amersfoort
From the direction of Amersfoort, follow the A10 ring road towards The Hague. After the RAI, you follow the road in the direction of Zaandam until the S105 Geuzenveld exit. You then turn left at the traffic lights and left again at the next traffic lights. You can park your car on the hospital grounds.

Parking

It's free to park in our can park for the first 15 minutes. After this, it costs €4.50 per hour. You can pay by card, coins or cash at the machines. The machine does not accept notes larger than 20 euros.

To buy a day, week and/or monthly ticket, you can go to our shop near the reception.

Disabled people
You can have your parking ticket validated upon presentation of your own, valid, disabled badge. Please be aware! We will check that the badgeholder is actually present!

OLVG, East location

By public transport

Via Centraal Station
Take the metro towards Gaasperplas (53) or Gein (54) or the express tram in the direction of Isolatorweg (51). Get off at the Wibautstraat stop, Vrolikstraat exit. Then turn right at the traffic lights onto Eerste Oosterparkstraat. At the next traffic lights, turn left towards the Oosterpark. The main entrance is located 50 metres (164 feet) from there. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk*. You can also get off a stop earlier at Weesperplein and then take tram 1 in the direction of Muiderpoortstation. You then get off in front of the main entrance at the Beukenweg stop.

Via Amstel station
Take metro (53, 54) or the express tram (51) towards Centraal Station. Get off at the Wibautstraat stop, Vrolikstraat exit. Then turn right at the traffic lights onto Eerste Oosterparkstraat. At the next traffic lights, turn left towards the Oosterpark. The main entrance is located 50 metres (164 feet) from there. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk. You can also get off a stop later at Weesperplein and then take tram 1 towards Osdorp De Aker. You then get off in front of the main entrance at the Beukenweg stop. You can also take bus 37 towards Noord metro station and get off at the Beukenplein stop. At the traffic lights, you walk straight on in the direction of Oosterpark. You'll see the main entrance after 50 metres (164 feet). It takes approximately 5 minutes to walk.

Via Muiderpoort station
You take tram 3 towards Zoutkeetsgracht. You then disembark at the Beukenweg stop opposite the main entrance. You can also take bus 37 towards Amstel station and get off at the Beukenplein stop. At the traffic lights, you walk straight on in the direction of Oosterpark. You'll see the main entrance after 50 metres (164 feet). The walking distance is approximately 5 minutes.

By car

Via The Hague/Schiphol via Almere/Amersfoort
Follow the signs to Amsterdam (A1), then the ring road around Amsterdam (A10), ring Oost.
*Take the exit to centrum (S112), turn left at the traffic lights towards the centre (Gooiseweg), keep right at the roundabout (Wibautstraat). After the viaduct, turn right at the fifth set of traffic lights. After the exit (keep left); follow Mauritskade. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights. At the third side street, turn right onto 's Gravesandeplein.

Follow the signs to Amsterdam (A4), then the ring road around Amsterdam (A10), ring Zuid, ring Oost. Follow route from*.

Via Zaandam/Alkmaar
Follow the signs to Amsterdam (A8) and then the ring road around Amsterdam (A10), exit S114 towards Artis/Centrum. After the Piet Hein tunnel, immediately turn left onto Panamalaan. At the end, you go straight ahead (road curves to the right). You are now driving on the Zeeburgerdijk, which becomes the Mauritskade. From the railway bridge, turn left at the third set of traffic lights onto s 'Gravesandestraat and right at the third side street onto 's Gravesandeplein.

Via Utrecht
Follow the signs to Amsterdam (A2), then the ring road around Amsterdam (A10), ring Oost. Follow route from*.

P+R Zeeburg
You can also park your car at Zeeburg P+R (next to the Piet Hein tunnel entrance. Address: Zuiderzeeweg 46a, 1095 KJ) and then continue with public transport. The P+R is open 24 hours a day. Parking at this P+R is not free 
From the A10 ring road
Follow the ring road around Amsterdam (A10). Take the Zeeburg exit (S114) and follow signs to P+R Zeeburg. 
Public transport connection
You take bus 37 towards Amstel station and get off at the Beukenplein stop. At the traffic lights, you walk straight on towards Oosterpark. You will see the main entrance after 50 metres (164 feet). It takes approx. 5 mins to walk.

Parking

There is a car park located at 120 's Gravesandeplein. You can park here 24 hours a day, but it is not free. The headroom is 2.10 metres. Cars can drive in and out for free in order to drop off patients and visitors (provided they leave the car park within 15 minutes).

Monday to Saturday
Daily rate (from 07:00 - 24:00) €6.00 per hour/€1.50 per 15 mins

Sunday from 07:00 - 24:00 €1.50 per hour

Monday to Sunday from 24:00 - 07:00 €1.50per hour

Lost/Day ticket €48.00

The rates are in accordance with the guidelines of the East district (stadsdeel Oost). To keep the car park available for visitors to the OLVG, the rate is the same as that on the street

You pay when you leave, so you don't have to worry about a parking meter running down.
Between 23:00 and 06:00, the car park can only be accessed via the direct access at the front of OLVG's East location.

By car

If you come to Spuistraat 239a by car, we advise you to use a route planner. Disabled individuals can use the special parking area in front of the door. Please call our security officer in advance on: +31 (0)20 599 41 00.
